Indoor Fiber Optic CableFlexible Routing
Tight buffer, distribution, and breakout cables in LSZH and PVC — single mode and multimode for in-building networks.

Overview
Indoor fiber optic cables are engineered for routing within buildings, data centers, and equipment rooms where flexibility, flame retardancy, and compact size matter most. Unlike outdoor cables designed for environmental extremes, indoor cables prioritize tight bend radius, low smoke emission, and ease of connectorization — enabling clean, efficient in-building fiber installations from riser shafts to desktop outlets.
TTI Fiber manufactures a full range of indoor fiber optic cables including simplex and duplex tight-buffer cords (0.9 mm, 2.0 mm, 3.0 mm), multi-fiber distribution cables (900 µm tight buffer, sub-units in a round jacket), and breakout cables (individually jacketed fibers for direct connectorization). All cables are available in single-mode OS2 and multimode OM1 through OM5 fiber types, with LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) or PVC jacket options.
Our LSZH cables meet IEC 60332 flame propagation and IEC 61034 smoke density standards, making them suitable for plenum spaces, enclosed risers, and public buildings. As an ISO 9001 certified manufacturer, TTI Fiber supports custom fiber counts, special jacket colors for identification, and cut-to-length orders with fast delivery for contractors, system integrators, and enterprise network teams.

Frequently Asked Questions
Distribution cables contain multiple 900 µm tight-buffer fibers inside a single jacket — smaller diameter and more flexible, but fibers must be terminated in a patch panel with a fan-out kit. Breakout cables individually jacket each fiber (typically 2.0 mm or 3.0 mm sub-units), allowing direct connectorization without a fan-out kit.
Use LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) in enclosed or poorly ventilated spaces such as plenums, risers, tunnels, and public buildings where toxic smoke from PVC could endanger occupants. Use PVC for general-purpose indoor applications where building codes do not require LSZH.
No. Indoor cables lack UV-stabilized jacketing, moisture barriers, and mechanical protection needed for outdoor environments. For indoor-outdoor transitions, use an indoor/outdoor rated cable or transition splice to outdoor cable at the building entry point.
Simplex (1 fiber), duplex (2 fibers), and multi-fiber distribution/breakout cables with 4, 6, 8, 12, 24, 48, or more fibers. Custom fiber counts are available on request.
