Fiber Optic Patch CordEvery Connection
Single mode, multimode, and armored patch cords in LC, SC, FC, ST — custom lengths with fast turnaround.

Overview
A fiber optic patch cord is the most fundamental interconnect in any fiber network. It links transceivers to patch panels, connects switches across racks, and bridges test equipment to live circuits. Choosing the right patch cord — correct fiber type, connector polish, jacket material, and length — is critical for achieving the low insertion loss and high return loss that modern 10G, 40G, and 100G systems demand.
TTI Fiber manufactures a comprehensive range of fiber optic patch cords covering single-mode OS2 (9/125 µm), multimode OM1 through OM5, and bend-insensitive G.657A2 fibers. Connector options include LC, SC, FC, ST, E2000, and MTRJ in both UPC and APC polish grades. Specialty types include armored (stainless steel interlocking armor), LSZH indoor-rated, plenum-rated, and ruggedized tactical patch cords for harsh environments.
Every patch cord is factory-tested with calibrated reference connectors and ships with an individual test report showing insertion loss and return loss values. As an ISO 9001 certified manufacturer, we support OEM branding, custom lengths from 0.3 m to 100 m, and same-week production for standard orders.

OS2 single-mode, OM1–OM5 multimode, bend-insensitive G.657A2, and polarization-maintaining fibers — all from one manufacturer.
Individual Test Reports
Every patch cord ships with an individual test report documenting insertion loss (≤ 0.3 dB) and return loss values, ensuring traceability and quality.
Armored & Ruggedized Options
Stainless steel interlocking armor protects against crushing, bending, and rodent damage in industrial and outdoor environments.
Custom Lengths & Fast Turnaround
Custom lengths from 0.3 m to 100 m with same-week production. OEM labeling and private branding available with low MOQ.
Frequently Asked Questions
Single-mode (OS2, 9/125 µm) patch cords carry one light mode and support long-distance transmission up to 100+ km. Multimode (OM1–OM5, 50/125 or 62.5/125 µm) patch cords carry multiple light modes and are used for shorter distances (up to 550 m for OM4 at 10G). Choose based on your transceiver type and link distance.
Use APC (green connector) for FTTH/PON, CATV, and RF-over-fiber applications where minimizing back-reflection is critical (return loss ≥ 60 dB). Use UPC (blue connector) for standard data and telecom applications (return loss ≥ 50 dB). Never mate APC and UPC connectors together.
An armored patch cord has a stainless steel interlocking armor layer between the fiber and outer jacket. It provides crush resistance, bend protection, and rodent resistance. Use armored cords in industrial environments, outdoor cable runs, and high-traffic areas where standard cords would be damaged.
Yes. We manufacture hybrid patch cords with any combination of LC, SC, FC, ST, E2000, or MTRJ connectors. Common hybrid configurations include LC-SC, LC-FC, and SC-ST.
Our standard patch cords have a typical insertion loss of ≤ 0.2 dB per connector (≤ 0.3 dB maximum) and return loss ≥ 50 dB (UPC) or ≥ 60 dB (APC), measured per IEC 61300-3-34 standards.
