FTTH Drop CableLast-Mile Fiber

Flat, round, and self-supporting drop cables with G.657A bend-insensitive fiber for FTTH last-mile deployment.

FTTH Drop Cable products by TTI Fiber

Overview

FTTH drop cables are the final fiber link connecting the distribution point to the subscriber premises — the last mile of every fiber-to-the-home network. These cables must withstand tight indoor bends, stapling along walls, and outdoor aerial spans while maintaining reliable signal transmission. TTI Fiber manufactures a comprehensive range of FTTH drop cables optimized for every last-mile installation scenario.

Our portfolio includes flat (butterfly) drop cables for indoor wall routing and stapling, round drop cables for duct installation, and figure-8 self-supporting drop cables with built-in steel messenger wire for aerial spans up to 80 meters. All cables use G.657A1 or G.657A2 bend-insensitive fiber that maintains low attenuation even at tight 10 mm bend radii — critical for navigating corners, door frames, and desktop cable management inside subscriber premises.

Cable constructions include 1-core and 2-core versions with FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) or steel wire strength members, and LSZH or PVC jacket options. Our factory produces custom print marking, custom lengths on reels up to 4 km, and pre-connectorized drops with factory-installed SC/APC or LC/APC connectors. As an ISO 9001 certified manufacturer, TTI Fiber serves telecom operators, ISPs, and FTTH installation contractors worldwide with competitive pricing and fast delivery.

Why Choose TTI Fiber FTTH Drop Cable

01

G.657A Bend-Insensitive Fiber

Maintains low attenuation at tight 10 mm bend radii, enabling reliable performance when routed around corners, stapled to walls, and managed at desktops.

02

Flat, Round & Self-Supporting

Butterfly flat cables for indoor stapling, round cables for duct pulling, and figure-8 self-supporting cables with steel messenger for aerial drops.

03

Pre-Connectorized Option

Factory-installed SC/APC or LC/APC connectors eliminate field termination, reducing installation time and ensuring factory-grade connector quality.

04

LSZH Indoor Safety

LSZH jacket options meet IEC 60332 flame and IEC 61034 smoke standards for safe indoor installation in residential and commercial buildings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Both are bend-insensitive fibers for FTTH. G.657A1 supports a minimum bend radius of 10 mm (one turn). G.657A2 supports a tighter 7.5 mm bend radius with lower macro-bending loss. G.657A2 is recommended for the most demanding indoor installations with very tight bends.

Flat (butterfly) drop cables are designed for indoor installation — their low profile allows stapling along baseboards, door frames, and walls. Round drop cables are better for duct and conduit installations where pulling strength and crush resistance matter more than profile.

Our figure-8 self-supporting drop cables with steel messenger wire can span up to 80 meters between support points, depending on cable weight and environmental loading (wind, ice). For longer spans, use a separate messenger wire with lashed installation.

Yes. We can factory-install SC/APC, LC/APC, or other connectors on one or both ends of the drop cable, with protective caps and pulling eyes for field deployment. Pre-connectorized drops eliminate the need for on-site fusion splicing.

Most FTTH drop cables contain 1 or 2 fiber cores, as each subscriber typically requires only a single fiber for PON service. 2-core drops provide a spare fiber for redundancy or future service upgrades.
